RIC # 96

Hello all,
How are you doing? My today's card is inspired by Runway inspired challenge # 96. I LOOOVE this dress. That floral pattern with hint of purple compelled me to make something. And you know what! My elder sister is going to receive this card. Its her wedding anniversary next week.
So here we go!!

This card has lot of layers, stamping and inking. I started with a white card stock and stamped the florals from Altenew lacy scrolls  with purple pigment ink and  clear heat embossed it. Next, stamped the leaves from same stamp set and white heat embossed them. Then I sponged lot of chipped sapphire and black soot distress inks and sprayed some water on it. Water droplets were pat dried with tissue paper to add an artistic look. Lolz.  After drying it cut out a quadrilateral out of it and kept aside. Took another white card stock and sponged some seedless preserved through falling heart stencil (Simon says stamp) and foam mounted it on card base. Further I stick the ready panel on in. I heat embossed the main sentiment (penny Black) on a black circular die cut and stamped the supporting sentiment (Mama Elephant)  on a stripe of white paper. Took some silver thread, made a lot of loops and put them behind black circle ( which I cut at bottom :P) and adhered it to card. Then adhered the supporting sentiment stripe and my card was DONE!!
It looks beautiful and I am hoping that my sister will also love it.
Thanks for stopping by. Your comments will be highly appreciated :)

Pretty Pink

Hello all,

Hope you all are doing well!! Since today was a busy day and I really need some sleep; this post is short. This card is one of my commissioned work and involves lot of  stamping, embossing, inking and fussy cutting. I will share the picture of envelope as well because like me you may also love envelope more than card.. Lol. So have a look at the card first :)

One of the sentiment and high heel shoe stamps are from hero arts. Happy Birthday stamp is from paper smooches and other pretty party accessories including cake are digis. Shoe and dress are colored with Victorian Velvet distress ink. Every thing is fussy cut and sentiments are stamped on vellum so that the pink theme is not disturbed. Background is embossed half in white and half in pink. I am in so much love with this new pink embossing powder from Wow.Card has 4 layers and its  a two fold card as you can see below

So card is pretty thick and that led to design a box envelope

I did embossing on envelope as well.. Isn't this Pretty?
well that's it for today.
Hope you like it.

love for blue

Hey crafters,
Hope you all are doing well. I am back with one more card after a long time. Actually I was engaged in some commissioned work. Diwali is around the corner and is the most celebrated festival in north India. Its a 5 days celebration where fifth day is for brothers and sisters. Its called Bhaidooj. One of my client wanted a card for her brother and she didnt want simply "Happy Bhaidooj" written on it. She wanted some meaningful general message and hence I came up with this card. I always reach out to blue whenever I design a masculine card :)

I just loved the outcome. The combination of gold, blue, black and white turned out just magical. my client also loved it at first sight. Well here are the steps I followed:

Step 1: I took a piece of white card stock 1/4 inch smaller than card base and sponged tumbled glass distress ink over it through a chevron patterned stencil from Heidi Swapp.
Step 2: I sponged salty ocean distress ink around the edges of the same piece.
Step3: I took another piece of card stock, cut a quadrilateral with craft knife and stamped the floral pattern(penny black) on it with versamark ink. Next, I heat embossed it with golden embossing powder.
Step 4: I sponged this piece with salty ocean and peacock feathers heavily and adhered it to the chevron patterned card stock.
Step 5: I die cut a circle out of black card stock and white heat embossed the sentiment on it from my brand new stamp set from penny Black. And at this point my presence of mind came handy ..LOl I remembered about this stamp set from mama elephant and this sentiment went very well with the main sentiment. So I cut one part of the circle to make its bottom flat and stamped the sentiment directly to the chevron card stock according to planned arrangement.
Step 6: I made some loops with silver twine, put them on card stock and adhered the sentiment on it.
Step 7: I provided fun foam backing to whole panel and mounted it on white card stock.
And my card was ready.

Hope you like it.
